Dear NDASA Member and Industry Partner:
Today, more than ever, we are standing at a crossroads and what happens next will shape the safety of our workplaces and communities for years to come.
President Trump is reportedly preparing to reschedule marijuana to Schedule III.
Without a Safety Carve Out, this change would open the door for school bus drivers, truck drivers, and even pilots and other transportation positions to use marijuana without mandatory testing.
That means the people we trust with our children, our families, and our lives could be at risk.
For more than 30 years, strong safeguards have protected our roads, airspaces, railways, pipelines, waterways, and workplaces. Now, those safeguards are in danger of disappearing.
We refuse to sit quietly while safety takes a back seat!
As 2025 comes to a close, the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association is focused on supporting the drug and alcohol testing industry and our members’ interests.
Over the next months, NDASA will lead the way in opposing the rescheduling of marijuana, promoting an employer’s right to maintain a drug-free workplace, and taking steps to ensure that no federal legislation will jeopardize our members’ ability to perform drug and alcohol testing throughout the United States.
There are many other initiatives NDASA is undertaking on your behalf, but we can’t do it without your support and the financial resources needed to make them possible.
We are fighting every day to educate lawmakers and employers—to make sure they understand what’s at stake.
But this work is bigger than us, and we cannot do it alone.
- If you believe in protecting the people you love…
- If you believe that safety-sensitive jobs should stay safe…
- If you believe that someone needs to speak up right now…
Please consider making a donation.
Your support gives us the strength, the voice, and the resources to keep fighting for our workers, our families, and every life that depends on a safe choice being made.
That’s why your Association is asking all of our members and industry partners to make a one-time contribution by December 31, 2025. Your gift will support all of our association programs, our governmental affairs initiatives and allow NDASA to continue to be the leading association representing the Nation’s drug and alcohol testing industry.
