May 15th is training day! Before the official start of our conference, NDASA will devote an entire day to professional training. Our pre-conference class sessions will include all the must-have knowledge and skills for professionals in the drug and alcohol testing industry, taught by leading experts in the field.
Students may earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) provided by the Certification Commission for Drug & Alcohol Program Professionals (CCDAPP). Click here to download the CEU Request Form.

Certified Reasonable Suspicion Trainer Course (C-RST)This course qualifies trainers to conduct reasonable suspicion training for the purpose of teaching workplace supervisors how to conduct evaluations and referrals for reasonable suspicion testing. This course will exceed the federal requirements for all United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) modes and non-regulated employers will be fully qualified as well. Attendees will review the Purpose of Reasonable Suspicion/Cause Testing Regulations Application, examine signs and symptoms of drug and/or alcohol impairment, and learn how to conduct an evaluation. Live demonstrations will show techniques of evaluating, examples of avoidance, and the methods by which observations are transitioned from witnessed to articulated in the documentation. Barriers to reasonable suspicion/cause testing and how to mitigate obstacles, including support from management, legal issues, and team dynamics, will also be discussed. The workshop will conclude with a 20-question test, a 90% is required to pass. Successful completion of this course earns the trainee a professional certification.

Certified Designated Employer Representative Trainer (C-DERT) CourseUpon completion of this course, trainers will have the knowledge and skills to train those in the role of Designated Employer Representative (DER), successfully teaching them how to manage their workplace drug and alcohol testing program. The individual in this critical position is responsible for ensuring employer compliance with federally mandated drug and alcohol testing requirements and workplace policies. A certificate of completion will be awarded to those completing this course.

MRO Assistant/Team Member/Staff TrainingThis professional-level course equips an MRO-A (or “MRO Team Member”) to meet the knowledge and skill requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Code of Federal Regulations Part 40. Participants will understand the in-depth drug and alcohol testing processes, best practices, their role as an MRO-A (Team Member), and a clear recognition of what duties fall under their responsibilities, and which belong solely to the MRO. Participants will complete an exam and be issued a professional certification. This course has been approved by MROCC as a pre-cursor to the MROCC Staff Member exam.
