NDASA Board of Director Nominations Due

The Class of 2024 Board of Director seats are now open for applicants.
ELEVEN seats must be filled. Service terms are 3 years.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be NDASA members in good standing prior to the date of voting.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in an industry-related field.
  • Have served on an NDASA committee in the past year.
  • Have attended at least one association-related annual conference within the last 3 years.
  • Submit a short bio outlining their area of expertise/experience, their reason for board interest, qualifications, organization activities, committee participation and any other relevant information.

Applications will be accepted from February 5 – February 12, 2024.

Eligible candidates will be announced on February 27, 2024

Voting will take place March 27 – April 4, 2024

NDASA BOARD MEMBER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The governing Board of Directors is elected by the general membership and is responsible for the development and implementation of all short- and long-term goals, establishing policy development and directives governing the business and programs, approving the annual budget, the Executive Director’s annual evaluation, adoption of personnel policies and general oversight of the Association. The Board meets monthly.

Board members are expected to:

  • Know and effectively articulate the mission, purpose, goals, by-laws, policies & programs of NDASA
  • Attend scheduled board meetings as outlined in the by-laws.
  • Maintain membership in the organization.
  • Regularly participate in at least one committee.
  • Participate in fundraising activities.
  • Identify those who may be prospective members, donors, advisors or board members.
  • Participate in the hiring process and periodic evaluation of the Executive Director and staff.
  • Participate actively in assessing organizational annual performance and setting strategic goals.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest as stated in the by-laws and as instituted by board policy.
  • Represent NDASA in the community, at industry functions and in appropriate media settings.
  • Maintain confidentiality relating to proprietary, financial and personnel information.

NDASA members must submit a nomination application by February 12, 2024, to be considered.
